George the Eclectus has come in to us from one of our long standing members sadly due to her poor health. He is 4.5 years old.

This is what his fosterer has to say about him after fostering him for a month now.

“George is one of the nicest birds I have had the privilege to foster ,he is a very happy chatty bird he loves his cage and toys he loves his time out of his cage likes to fly will then land back on his cage he is quite tame and will quite happily step up for you puts himself back in his cage has been fed on a diet of seed and fruit and veg”.

George has been used to children. He has his own cage which is in nice condition.

George has had a check up st our avian vet and ha been microchipped.

Eclectus parrots need a different ratio diet than normal parrots with a higher proportion fruit and veg, and they must NOT be fed fruity pellets as the dyes can be toxic to them.
